Toronto, ON – July 8, 2015 – The African Entertainment Awards gears up for it’s fourth annual award show with lots of exciting new additions. The award ceremony takes place Saturday September 5th inside the Living Arts Centre located at 4141 Living Arts Drive in Mississauga, ON Canada. Nollywood Actor, John Dumelo and Female International Recording Artist, Emma Nyra will host the star-studded night.

In the spirit of the 2015 theme “Re-Branding Africa Through Entertainment”, the African Entertainment Awards team delivers exactly that. Confirmed International top acts set to hit the main stage. The celebrity lineup includes Ugandan reggae/ragga artist Bebe Cool, Congolese Coup Decale artist Awilo and American Hip Hop artist Bow Wow to name a few of the imported acts confirmed to perform. All three acts bring a different flavor to the table, making for an electric blend of stellar entertainment. Some of the night’s supporting acts to perform include saxophonist Yemi Sax, dance group The Black Star Dancers, comedian JayKay Kenny, R&B song bird Missy BK and Afro Pop artist Akin Busari.

The nomination process has changed from its previous years. A selection panel was added this year to ensure quality, consistency and a fair playing field. The panel is made up of industry professionals with a wide range of experience and varied backgrounds. These professionals are:

TK Smooth – CEO of Moonraiser Entertainment
Lilian Blankson – CEO of LNB Entertainment, Former BET International Power Player, Director, Writer and Producer
Kike-Lola Odusanya – CEO of The WE Network, Business & Lifestyle Strategy Specialist
Dwayne Morgan – Entrepreneur, Event Organizer, Motivational Speaker & Poet

The general public will be able to vote for their favorite African entertainer next month in August when the selection panel selects all the final five nominees for each category. The full list of nominees is scheduled to be announced towards the end of July.
