GHANA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL HOLLAND PAGEANT

Amsterdam, October 19, 2010.

The beauty pageant (GHMBH) is a yearly event organized and planned in Amsterdam
by Stichting SAM’en, with the vision to highlight and acknowledge the intellectual
capabilities of young females within The Netherlands of Ghanaian descent.

The event aims to bring out the core qualities, talents and most importantly the
knowledge of Ghanaian history and culture among the young pageant hopefuls.
The purpose of the pageant is not constrained to mere physical appearances,
but also to the intellectual capabilities of the contestants.

The pageant consists of eight semi-finalists contesting for the title of ‘Ghana’s Most
Beautiful Holland’. The event is categorized into four main parts namely:

-        Semifinal Performance: Based on individual talent, the contestants will stages a performance.

-        Semifinal Presentation: Presents a speech to the audience with her self as the topic,
exhibiting public speaking skills.

-        Semifinal Traditional wear: contestants will be showcased in traditional clothing.
The purpose is to highlight contestants knowledge of the various components of traditional
Ghanaian apparel

-        Q&A: contestants answer questions ranging from history; sociopolitical and
geo-cultural topics.

The total score resulting from the above-mentioned categories together with votes from
the public (online voting on GHMBH website) are the basis for crowning miss GHMBH

The winners of the Ghana’s Most Beautiful Holland Beauty Pageant will win an educational
scholarship worth over 10.000 euro’s. These scholarships will offer the contestants to
enhance their education.

The prices include:
-       First prize – Scholarship worth of € 2000 (Plus a return ticket to Ghana)

-       Second prize – Scholarship worth of € 1500 (Plus driving lessons)

-       Third prize – Scholarship worth of € 1000 (Plus a spa treatment)

GHMBH 2010 edition

The second edition of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Holland pageant will take place on the
6th of November 2010.

The event will be held at the Bijlmersporthal in Amsterdam, where eight ladies will
compete for the title Ghana’s Most Beautiful Holland.

The master of ceremony for the night will be Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), with performance
from GMA winner Sakordie and other Holland based Ghanaian entertainers.
