Popular actress Oge Okoye is the face and one of the judges of the Goodwill Ultimate Talent Show (GUTS), a charity reality TV show, first of its kind in Nigeria. GUTS is meant as a fund raising campaign to raise 1.2 billion naira to build the first school for the less privileged children, Elderly Nursing Home and a Vocational Course Centre in Nigeria. Foundation for the elderly and the poor has been in the forefront in helping the less privileged children to reach their potentials by enrolling them in schools or paying their school fees and this project is a continuation of that good work. The talent show will be held at the International Conference Center in Abuja, Nigeria.
When I asked Oge Okoye via e-mail what led her to become one of the judges of GUTS, she replied, “What led me to be one of the judges of this beautiful show is mainly because it has to do with charity. I have always loved anything that has to do with charity. Being part of this show is my humble pleasure.”
Moreover, I also asked her what people can expect from the show. “A lot are being expected from this show which includes among others: generating money for the development of the first school for the less privileged children in Nigeria, support local talents as they put on a great show, create job opportunities and so on.”
When I asked her what advice she will give to people who want to register for the show, she replied, “They shouldn’t be discouraged/ashamed to participate in this mind blowing transformative show. You never know how your dreams could come true. Feel free to showcase your talent and transform your future. I wish everyone God’s guidance and love.”
The other judges are Francis Odega, Zack Orji and Amanda Ebeye while the host of the talent show is Tchidi Chikere.
