The Ghana Football Association has at its disposal an amount of $18 million to facilitate a smooth World Cup campaign.
The money constitutes winning bonuses, air fare, hotel accommodation and other expenses to be incurred at the World Cup.
Spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association Randy Abbey in an interview with Joy FM’s Kojo Oppong Nkrumah confirmed the amount but said “this money will only be spent if we go to the finals and win the cup.â€
Randy Abbey was upbeat with the preparation of the team with some three days away for the commencement of the mundial.
He said the FA is “excited at the level of determination and focus of the players”, adding,“the training regime is on course†“… the players are adapting to the tactics of the coach.â€
Injury suspects Sulley Muntari and Richard Kingson both took part in the training, a phenomenon he said is refreshing to the team.
The Black Stars arrived in South Africa Monday morning after a moral boosting 1-0 victory over Latvia on Saturday.
The victory Randy Abbey noted has raised the level of optimism of not only the players but the technical and management team.
He assured that the team will be ready when hostilities begin.
