After rigorous screening for Ebola upon their arrival in Togo on Tuesday afternoon, September 9 for their 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier, the Senior National team, the Black Stars have sailed through successfully.
The entire playing body and officials were screened at the Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport before being dispatched to their hotel.
However, after the grueling exercise which took a couple of hours, none of the members of the entourage was recorded to have contracted the virus which is fast spreading in the sub-region.
The medical screening process forms part of measures being put in place by several African governments to prevent the Ebola viral disease from entering into their countries.
Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone have been worst hit by this epidemic, recording over a thousand fatalities.
The Black Stars are in Lome to take on the Hawks of Togo in their second 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
