There is a New Ride Coming to Town and its only for Women! DriveHER

DriveHER is a ridesharing platform focused on providing safe rides, enhancing community, and furthering female empowerment for women by women in the Greater Toronto Area.
DriveHER was born as an alternative service to address the issues and concerns surrounding the safety for women while commuting. DriveHER also seeks to promote the community by donating some proceeds to female focused charities and organizations.
In Canada, taxi driving is a male dominated occupation. The vast majority of taxi drivers are males (85.1%). DriveHER is changing that by providing a platform that connects female drivers with female passengers empowering both parties to feel safe.
The DriveHER team is busy working and they are scheduled to launch late August 2016, with the hopes of providing safe rides for females across the GTA. In the interim they are receiving applications for drivers and passengers for their new service.
