Konvict Musik, a major label owned by Senegalese born R&B singer Akon, sees the value investing in Sarkodie’s stock.
Sway, the UK based Ghanaian announced at the Ghana Rocks concer that Sarkodie is officially his label mate on Konvict Musik.
It’s one of the most lucrative deals Ghana Music.com has seen recently, especially for a hiplife / hip hop artist.
“The full details of the deal will be revealed in a week’s time because we are still doing the paper works but what we can say is that Sarkodie is on Konvict Musik record label nowâ€, Korsah, one of Sarkodie’s manager said.
His current album has also produced fan-favorites, including “Babyâ€, “Pushâ€, “Alter†and “Borga,†which are presently gaining momentum at radio stations, parties and nite clubs.
Major props to Sarkodie’s management team – Dr. Duncan, Korsah and Stephen for negotiating a fair deal for their artiste. With that kind of backing, Sarkodie’s career is only just beginning.
Konvict Muzik is a record label founded by Melvin Brown and R&B singer Akon. Other than Akon, there are popular artists such as Lady Gaga, Brick & Lace, French Montana, Glowb, Kardinal Offishall, Ray Lavender, Red Cafe, T-Pain, Rock City, Arianna “DREAM 3D” Brown, Tariq L., Qwes Kross, Dolla and Robbie Nova signed to the label.
